Lucky 13: Friday the 13th Shabbat Dinner Shindig

Hello friends,

We hope you're able to keep cool as summer is sizzling up here in Minnesota...and that you're able to join us this coming Friday night (July 13) for more Shabbat awesomeness.  While the number 13 carries all sorts of negative associations in some circles, the number 13 is a auspicious number in Judaism. It's the bar mitzvah year, the number of Maimonides' belief principles,  the number of G-d's attributes, and an important number in kabbalah

And Friday is also an awesome day in Jewish belief, as immortalized in song by this illustrious Jewess.

So...to celebrate the happy side of Friday and the # 13, this coming Shabbat's potluck theme is, what do you wish would have been served at your bar mitzvah. Or, if you never had one, what would you serve at a bar mitzvah?

20 bucks says this becomes a whiskey potluck, but oh well.

The fun begins at 7pm at Rafi's place. Please bring chairs if you have any you can schlep along.
